The chairman of Oye Local Government Area in Ekiti, Sunday Ajimoko, has urged commercial drivers to desist from reckless driving, especially during the rainy period.

Speaking with journalists on Saturday, he advised them to always consider the condition of the roads before driving recklessly.

“It is no more news that the current rainy period has become a daily routine, causing waterlog and damage on few roads.

“I want to appeal to our commercial drivers to desist from reckless driving and save the lives of their passengers,” he said.

Mr Ajimoko urged the various unions’ chairmen to encourage their members to be cautious while driving, especially during the rainy period.

He prayed for God’s protection over every commercial driver and passenger.
