INEC chairman Mahmood Yakubu will appear Thursday before the Presidential Election Petition Court.

This was stated on Tuesday by Chris Uche, lead counsel to Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party.

In a petition marked CA/PEPC/05/2023, Mr Abubakar and PDP are challenging the outcome of the February 25 presidential election, which declared President Bola Tinubu the winner.

The respondents are INEC, Mr Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress.

During his appearance, Mr Uche said the INEC chairman would testify on the conduct of the disputed presidential election, telling the court that he did not want the respondents, especially Mr Tinubu and APC, to be caught unawares.
