Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Monday stopped his convoy to rescue people who had been involved in an auto crash along the airport road on Monday morning in Abuja.

Mr Osinbajo and his security aides were joined by other Nigerians to pull the victims from the vehicle, Peoples Gazette learnt. A witness sent in a video from the scene, initially saying the crash was the vice president.

It was not immediately clear the severity of the accident on the victims involved.

Mr Osinbajo’s spokesman Laolu Akande said the vice president was on his way to Ondo on a condolence visit and has proceeded on his trip.
