GCHR launches new Emergency Resources Hub with redesigned website

The Gulf Centre for Human Rights (GCHR) is pleased to announce the launch of GCHR’s newly-designed website with an Emergency Resource Hub. The new website is fully searchable and English and Arabic content is linked. 

Human Rights Defenders (HRDs) at risk can contact GCHR for help, or browse the Resource Hub where they can find links to resources related to advocacy, safety, health and wellness, funding and emergency grants, fellowships, and many specialised resources catering to women human rights defenders (WHRDs).

“We are so delighted to launch our new more dynamic website which we hope will meet betters the needs of our community of women/human rights defenders and other stakeholder. We have to thank all those who were involved in the funding and development of the website,” says Khalid Ibrahim, GCHR’s Executive Director. “I have to send on behalf of our GCHR team our special thanks to the European Union, Open Society Foundation, Sigrid Rausing Trust, Tides Foundation and the Innovation for Change MENA Hub. Thanks to the team at Tennis and Enginess for the new website design and functionality, and our partners at Virtual Road for hosting the website for many years.. Thank you also to Qurium Media Foundation for hosting GCHR’s Bifrost mirror site..” he added

Browse each country page, or by latest news and publications, or take action via the Urgent Actions section to support HRDs at risk, such as Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja in Bahrain, Ahmed Mansoor in UAE, Dr. Mohammed Al-Qahtani in Saudi Arabia, Narges Mohammadi and Nasrin Sotoudeh in Iran, Gamal Eid in Egypt, and Khalil Matouq in Syria.
