                                                   POLICEMAN B (CONT'D)
                                                   POLICEMAN B (CONT'D)

He is twice my size and twice as
strong. Without a gun it would be
difficult for me to subdue him. I
don't have my handcuffs with me.
What should I do? Hm, this is going
                                     to be complicated.

The shadows keep getting nearer and nearer. Policeman B aims his
gun at the Amerasian's chest and then subconsciously lowers it to his

legs. The Amerasian and the girl are now just a few feet away from
him. He can hear their footsteps. Unsure about what he should do, he
watches the Amerasian bend down to kiss the girl on the cheek and
then quickly turn around and run away and disappear like an illusion
on the grassy hill, bathed in the dim moonlight.

Policeman B rubs his eyes as if he has just awoken from a dream-
filled sleep. He lies very still to let the girl pass without seeing him and
then gets up, wipes his clothes clean with his hand, exhales deeply,
                       and silently retreats.

                       51 INT. POLICEMAN B'S HOME - NIGHT

After POLICEMAN B arrives home and is changing his clothes, a
thought suddenly flashes through his mind. It occurs to him that the
Amerasian will stop by his mother's home to visit her after seeing his

girlfriend. If so, Policeman B can catch him there, and this time, he
won't be able to escape. So, Policeman B hurriedly puts back on his
uniform, grabs a pair of handcuffs, and sets off for the Amerasian's
                       home.

52 INT. THE HOME OF THE AMERASIAN'S MOTHER -
                              AFTERNOON

Stealthily, POLICEMAN B approaches the house and puts his ear to
the door to listen. The door is closed. There is a light
on inside the house, and he can hear the sound of people talking. He
immediately recognizes the voice of POLICEMAN A and that of THE
AMERASIAN'S MOTHER. There is a third voice, and he realizes that it
