88.
Policeman A follows up.
POLICEMAN A
My friend, don't be too quick to
anger. Why are you bothering them?
You have no proof; no one is
denouncing them; what reasons do
you have for pursuing them? Please
don't push too hard as they might
sue you for entering their home
without a warrant.
Policeman B cannot contain his anger. He stands up.
POLICEMAN B
I understand you all too well. You,
the Amerasian over there, you are a
criminal, and I have proof. Follow
me to the station, so that I can
obtain your confession. And don't
make any fuss.
Policeman B pulls out the handcuffs and then walks toward the
Amerasian. Policeman A stands up and steps in front of Policeman B.
POLICEMAN A
How dare you do this while I am
here? Where is your arrest warrant?
He is at home, and he has not been
caught in the act of committing a
crime. You are a policeman. Don't
you know the law?
The two policemen glare at each other. Policeman B screams:
POLICEMAN B
Are you protecting a criminal?
