2009 was an epic year at Worthy Farm. Many festival-goers declared it the "best ever" Glastonbury. But with 2010 being the festival's 40th anniversary, we're doing all we can to make the next one even more special...
So this year the Greenpeace field goes ape with a distinctive rainforest theme, complete with hanging vines, authentic forest sounds and smells, plus more than a few of our famous orangutans, of course.
You'll be able to test your climbing skills on our new Cloud Forest Canopy - two large tree-like structures for you to scale, cross between on a wire, and then glide back down to earth on a zip-line. And if you've still got the energy, why not join top skaters like Ross McGauran, Chris Oliver and Andy Scott on our forest-friendly giant FSC skate ramp? Or visit the Earth Dome stage to enjoy funky theatre, tunes and top speakers including our own forest-friendly campaigners.
When it's time to grab a bit of relaxation, head for the Grove - a forest-themed seating area ideal for relaxing and taking in the unique atmosphere while waiting for a shower - complete with its own rainforest café. Sit and watch Ape TV, our forest news and film channel, or join in the fun and games as we invite you play havoc with the brands of forest and climate-wrecking companies by subverting their logos (as we did to Kit Kat in our most recent palm oil campaign).
When real hunger kicks in and you need something a bit more substantial then make for Café Tango. This classic eatery is an old favourite with Greenpeace Field regulars, and it's now been revamped with the addition of a brand new pizza oven.
And after you've done all that, try and save some energy to visit our central campaign information point, where our orang-utan guides will be happy to tell you more about Greenpeace campaigns and activities. If you like what you hear, why not sign up and help us save the world's rainforests?
Finally, don't leave before you've sampled our hot solar-assisted biomass showers. Last year over 7,000 festival-goers emerged squeaky clean from them, and many declared them the best on the festival site, so don't miss out!
Bring it on…
