ITS NOW 10.15am and the barge has stopped and dropped anchor. We think we are just off Barrow. One of the tugs has come alongside and the crew are fiddling about on deck. Im sure theyre only going about their daily tug business and are pretty much ignoring us. Exchanges have been quite friendly.

It is bitterly cold now. Its starting to rain too.

Everybody is sleeping at the moment (luckily most of the bunks have mattresses and are comfy) weve all been awake for more than 24 hours and the tiredness is beginning to tell. Its very quiet and Im continually starting at what I think is the sound of a boat engine. We dont know who will be coming for us and when but they certainly havent brought us all the way back just to let us continue our protest unhindered.

So we wait

Stephanie.
