Active supporters send animal feed to Bernard Matt
Thanks very much to all of you who contacted Bernard Matthews and asked them to stop feeding their turkeys GM feed. Consumer power has worked and Bernard Matthews has now made a commitment to go non-GM in his turkey feed.
Bernard Matthews have also received hundreds of envelopes of non-GM turkey feed from members of the public, who asked the company to start using it. Just before Bernard Matthews agreed to stop using GM feed we heard that the Bernard Matthews postroom was overwhelmed with envelopes of feed.
The announcement also comes after Greenpeace delivered 3 tonnes of non-GM feed to Bernard Matthews Headquarters in November.
