Kit-Kats use palm oil from Indonesian plantations - threatening orangutan habitats

Okay, so Nestlé has received tens of thousands of emails, not to mention hundreds (maybe even thousands) of phone calls about the palm oil in its products, but we're still not seeing much in the way of affirmative action. So how about putting a huge advert in a major international newspaper to remind the executives that we're still expecting to see some major announcements very soon?

To buy the advertising space, we need your help and our aim is to raise £50,000 - it's a huge wadge of dosh but it will be seen by Nestlé's partners and investor, and if a lot of people give a small amount, it'll be an easy target to reach. We've got over 10,000 fans on Facebook, so if everyone of those gave just £5, we'd have change to spare.

We're still deciding which would be the best paper to place an advert in but it will be somewhere high-profile. We're also working on what it will look like although we'll be placing the advert on your behalf - it will be from our supporters as much as it is from Greenpeace.

Whatever you can contribute will help us buy some major advertising space that will not go unnoticed by Nestlé. And help us find more willing contributors on Facebook and Twitter.
