Traffic jam

Saturday morning. The fuel convoy and the Greenpeace team at Ferrybridge services near Leeds.

Ironically the convoy had parked up next to a fleet of army trucks who are on route to help with the clean up of local towns and villages after the recent flooding.

Greenpeace volunteers got chatting to truck drivers about alternative fuels and the link between cheap oil based fuels and flooding. A couple of truckers from holland came to look at the Greenpeace truck and its tank of bio-diesel. They had come across bio-diesel back home and were amazed it was not available in britain.

The small convoy of protestors left Ferrybridge at 9.45 am and travelled slowly to Channock truck depot near Stafford.
