Ban hare coursing
This website highlights the barbarity of the blood sport of live hare coursing in Ireland, and works on the campaign to have hares (better known as jack rabbits in North America) protected from this cruelty.
British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection (BUAV)
BUAV campaigns for an end to animal experiments in the UK and overseas. Their site includes information on alternatives to animal testing and advice on buying cruelty-free cosmetics and household products.
Compassion in World Farming (CIWF)
CIWF campaign to end factory farming of animals, including fur farming, and long distance transport of farm animals. Their site has information on a range of farm animal welfare issues.
International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW)
IFAW acts to improve animal welfare by reducing commercial exploitation and trade, aiding animals in distress, and preserving habitat for animals.
League Against Cruel Sports (LACS)
LACS campaigns in the UK to ban fox hunting and other hunting with dogs, cock fighting, badger baiting, falconry, shooting sports, and the Grand National horse race.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PeTA)
PeTA believe that "animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for entertainment". Find information on animal rights issues and consumer advice, as well as their famous anti-fur campaign.
Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA)
The RSPCA has branches and animal hospitals across the UK caring for wildlife and pets alike. The web site has great children's information too.
Save India's Tigers
Save India's Tigers are working to protect the few remaining tigers in India including the Bengal tigers, White tigers and White Bengal tigers by helping to save the last refuge of these great cats.
