Amnesty International’s new report exposes the crucial role in the supply chain of aviation fuel to the Myanmar military of Puma Energy, which has now said it will withdraw from Burma.
Puma Energy, in addition to ensuring a responsible withdrawal, must remedy the harm to which it has contributed. All other companies involved in this supply chain must stop facilitating the provision of aviation fuel to Myanmar and, where applicable, responsibly disengage.
States must ensure that no aviation fuel is supplied to the Myanmar military. The only way to do so is to stop all aviation fuel supplies to the country.
