Office of the vice president dismisses allegation of assassin bribed by Gen. Taban Deng.

Juba, South Sudan

December 22, 2021 — The office of South Sudan’s Vice President for Infrastructure Cluster has refuted the allegation that Gen. Taban Deng Gai bribed a man to harm Tutkew.

This comes after the leaked recorded audio was circulated on media in which a man identified as Gatluak admitted that he was bribed with $5,000 by vice president Gen. Taban Deng Gai to hit and run  Hon. Tut Gatluak Manime and Gen. Manyoat Nyatutroah.

In a statement seen by Nyamilepedia, Amb. Elijah Tut Bikot, the executive director at the office of the vice president says their office notes with concern what he termed as “false rumors” designed against vice president Gen. Taban Deng Gai.

“It has come to notice of the office of the Vice President that there are vicious and false rumors circulating on social media regarding His Excellency Gen. Taban Deng Gai”, the statement reads.

The office of vice president says the allegation are just mere allegations created to divide peace makers in the country and as such they should be ignored by all public readers.

“..The office of the vice president takes this opportunity to categorically refute these allegations designed to create divisions among peace makers and those committed to peace process”, Amb. Tut said in a statement obtained by Nyamilepedia.

Amb. Tut warned those who created contents through recording to stop and threatens them to face legal measures incase they repeated it again.

“Let this press statement serve as clarification of the recordings in questions and to those creating them as a warning that the next created content will be dealt with using legal recourse and through the formal legal process of Republic of South Sudan”, he emphasized in a statement.

“Anyone creating this content should cease and desist from doing so”, he added in a statement.
