American President Joe Biden tripped and fell to the ground during an appearance at the Air Force graduation ceremony in Colorado on Thursday, video showed.
The U.S. leader quickly recovered after being assisted by his aides.
The president had been on his feet shaking hands with each of the 921 graduating cadets at the event, and he appeared to be unhurt from the fall.
The 80-year-old president had fallen before while trying to board the Air Force One out of Joint Base Andrews in 2021, and again in 2022 while cycling in his home state of Delaware.
Mr Biden announced two weeks ago that he will be seeking re-election in 2024, despite concerns about his health, including from members of his Democratic party.
His aides, however, insist that the president’s health remained as strong as ever, saying today’s trip was caused by a sanbag.
“He’s fine. There was a sandbag on stage while he was shaking hands,” White House communications director Ben LaBolt said on Twitter Thursday afternoon.
