Veteran Nollywood actress Iyabo Oko is dead

According to the daughter, the thespian died on Wednesday evening.

A veteran Nollywood actress, Sidikat Odunkanwi, popularly known as Iyabo Oko, is dead. She was aged 61.

“May ur soul rest in peace mummy”, the actress’s daughter, Bisi Aisha, wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

According to the daughter, the thespian died on Wednesday evening.

Odunkanwi was born on the 15th of November 1960 in Iwo Local Government Area of Osun State and began her acting career under Eda Onileola. During her acting career, she bagged the nicknames “Iyabo Oko” and “Apoti Aje”.

In January 2022, there was drama over her ‘death’ when her daughter said she came back to life a day after announcing she had died.
