Playlouder is one of Europe's leading providers of online music entertainment and broadband music content. Playlouder was the exclusive internet sponsor of Glastonbury 2000, and for the first time ever, web-cast full audio-visual footage live from the festival. This included memorable performances from Muse, Badly Drawn Boy and Elastica.

For 2001, Playlouder joined forces with the Glastonbury festival to produce a virtual festival! Glastonbury 2001 was hosted at the virtual Worthy Farm known as the Playlouder website.

The line up included performances from international headline artists broadcast via the internet to a global audience, together with some of the best performances from the extensive festival archives. The main stage was of course there, with the virtual dance tent featuring DJ sets. There was also interviews with stars of previous Glastonbury festivals. There was also the opportunity to relax by taking a virtual wander through the green fields and the healing fields.
