Video: Paula bears down on reckless oil drillers Cairn Energy

We took Paula Bear down to Cairn Energy's HQ yesterday to block their entrance and demand their oil spill response plan.

We learned this week from confidential government documents that an oil spill in the Arctic would be all but impossible to clear up. Yet Cairn say they've got a spill response plan for the Arctic environment. Only thing is, they won't let anyone see it.

Paula blocking the entrance to Cairn's HQ

This morning Paula Bear swung into action as a Greenpeace activist. While our ships are confronting Cairn Energy's oil rig in the Arctic, she’s blocking the entrance to the wildcat drillers' headquarters in Edinburgh.

Horrified that Cairn Energy are drilling for oil in the Arctic, Paula’s rage was tipped over the edge when she learned that Cairn won’t even make their oil spill response plan public.

Paula settles into her new home

Thanks to your generous support, we have been successful in our mission to give Paula a new home after leaving the National Theatre. She has just arrived in her new home and has been busy meeting the locals and finding her way around, before she embarks on an intensive training course to bring her up to speed on our climate campaign. Stay tuned to find out what adventures she'll be taking part in next...

Success! £4,000 raised and a new home for Paula Bear

Paula's looking for work .. we've got something for her

You are all brilliant.

We asked for your help to raise the cash to buy a polar bear which has become dear to our hearts (well, polar bear costume) and the response has been amazing. You've more than matched our target of £4,000 to find a new home for Paula Bear, and the current total is up around £4,500.

We need your help to save the polar bear. Well, one polar bear in particular.
