Very far away.
THE GIRL
How many kilometers is very far
away?
THE AMERASIAN
Thousands and thousands of
kilometers away.
THE GIRL
Where is this so faraway place?
He feels that she is very naïve. He wants to hear her express sadness
when he tells her he is going away. But it seems that she does not feel
that way. He gives her more details.
THE AMERASIAN
I am going to America. I have been
sponsored to come there as an
Amerasian.
This is the first time he refers to himself as an "Amerasian", and this
makes him uneasy. He is afraid she
might not like it. But she appears unfazed. She looks at him.
