Method-Matched Cleaning
We choose the right PSI for each surface — never a one-pressure-fits-all approach.
Clean Slate Pressure Washing provides professional pool deck and paver cleaning services for residential properties throughout Brandon, Riverview, Valrico, Lithia, and the Tampa Bay region. Pool decks in Florida face a unique combination of chlorine splash-back, constant sun exposure, humidity-driven algae growth, and heavy foot traffic that degrades surfaces faster than almost any other exterior area of the home. We clean all common pool deck materials including brick pavers, travertine, stamped concrete, poured concrete, cool-deck coatings, and natural stone using pressure levels calibrated to each material type. For paver pool decks, we offer a complete clean-sand-seal service: pressure cleaning to remove all organic growth and embedded dirt, polymeric sand replacement in joints to prevent weed regrowth and ant intrusion, and protective sealer application to lock in color and resist future staining.
The pool deck started out looking like the photos from when the pavers were installed — warm color, clean joints, a finished outdoor room. Then the Florida summers happened. Chlorine splash bleached patches around the steps. Algae crept across the shaded corners. Sand washed out of every paver joint after the storms, and weeds came up through the gaps. The travertine near the spa darkened where iron-rich irrigation water hit it. Mold rings appeared under every potted plant. Tannins from oak leaves stained dark patches across the deck.
None of this can be solved by spraying harder. Pavers and travertine soften and pit under aggressive pressure. Stamped concrete with a thin color seal can be permanently stripped. The right fix is matched chemistry plus the right (lower) PSI per surface — then polymeric sand back in the joints to lock everything in place. A sealed paver deck after cleaning resists everything that put it in this state to begin with, and stays that way for years instead of months.
We identify the deck material (pavers, travertine, concrete, cool-deck) and calibrate pressure and cleaning chemistry accordingly. Pool furniture is moved or covered.
Cleaning solution is applied to break down algae, mildew, and organic staining. Solution type varies by surface — acidic cleaners for mineral deposits on travertine, alkaline for organic growth on concrete.
Surface cleaned at the appropriate PSI for the material. Pavers and travertine receive lower pressure (1,500–2,500 PSI) than poured concrete (2,500–3,500 PSI).
Old sand is removed from paver joints. New polymeric sand is swept into joints and activated with water to harden into a weed-resistant, ant-proof barrier.
A breathable penetrating sealer or wet-look enhancing sealer is applied to protect against UV fading, staining, and moisture absorption. Sealer type selected based on homeowner preference and material compatibility.
We choose the right PSI for each surface — never a one-pressure-fits-all approach.
