Glastonbury competition rules

Last edited 9 June 2007 at 12:09pm

This competition is for fun and to raise awareness of climate change and what you can do about it, but there are still a few rules, sorry:

1. The closing date for submissions is midnight GMT on Sunday 17th June. We’ll notify the winner by telephone or email on Monday 18th June. The festival dates are 22-24 June so there's not much time to spare; if you win and we can't get hold of you by 3pm on Monday, we reserve the right to award the prize to someone else.

2. Your picture or video must be your own work (although mash-ups are allowed).

Festival-goers at this year's Glastonbury Festival will be asked to sign up to the "I Count" climate change campaign. The target is for 100,000 people to make a commitment by the end of the weekend (22-24 June).

Everybody arriving at the festival will be given a special wristband with the "I Count" message, "We can stop climate chaos". As people sign up, the rising total will be registered at the main Pyramid music stage.

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival have sold out in record time again this year. Greenpeace does not have any tickets for sale, and the festival organisers are clamping down on anyone trying to sell on their ticket for profit so please be wary of touts and auction websites. Congratulations to everyone who got a ticket and we look forward to seeing you there!

Farewell then, Glasto 2004... and how was it for you? Despite the traditional vagaries of the summer weather over 112,000 of us braved the mud to enjoy the magic and mystique of Britain's premier music festival and greatest communal experience, headlined by Oasis, Paul McCartney and Muse.
