As President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva of Brazil paid a visit to Buckingham Palace today, the Greenpeace forest football squad were there to remind him that the world has a vested interest in the future of the Amazon rainforest.
Greenpeace volunteers confronted Chelsea residents opposing the congestion charge with the message 'Save the climate - Congestion charging works'.
The message was unfurled in West London, just off Kensington High Street, on a seven metre long banner as a convoy of cars from one of London's richest areas started their protest to call for a halt to the planned extension of the congestion charging zone.

Our campaign to stop National Lottery funded projects using endangered rainforest timber took another step forward on 21st March when the Heritage Lottery fund agreed to source all timber from legal and well-managed sources for projects they fund.
Today two giant eyeballs delivered a message to the Japanese Embassy in London imploring the Japanese Prime Minister not to send his whaling fleet to Antarctica to hunt minke whales, and to let Japan know the world is watching. The message delivery is part of a Greenpeace global day of action against whaling.
As the International Whaling Commission meets in London this week, Greenpeace urged the Norwegian Prime Minister to publicly distance Norway from its traditional pro-whaling ally, Japan.
This follows last week's startling admission from a senior Japanese official that Japan has been using development aid to buy votes at the International Whaling Commission (IWC).
Greenpeace today (01.00am) ended the occupation of the 100 metre chimney at Edmonton incinerator after supplies of food and water ran out. The volunteers had successfully occupied the chimney for four days in the face of appalling weather conditions.
Government figures from the Department of Health show that current emissions from Edmonton incinerator are expected to result in fifteen deaths every year. The figure will increase to twenty-two if the proposed expansion of Edmonton incinerator goes ahead.
Cllr Rupert Perry (Chair of North London Waste Authority, the co-owners of Edmonton) said on BBC Newsroom South East that the Edmonton incinerator is "very clean" but this view has already been contradicted by Environment Minister Michael Meacher who has said that there is 'no safe threshold' for incinerator emissions.
