This morning something momentous happened.

Our Jedi-o-meter hit 250,000.

One quarter of a million people - from all corners of the galaxy - calling on Volkswagen to stop blocking progress on climate change.

Still from our film challenging Volkswagen's environmental record

We still have to turn VW away from the Dark Side, but we’ve scored a small victory for internet freedom along the way.

A few days into our campaign while our Volkswagen film was the most shared ‘ad’ in the world, YouTube suspended it after a complaint from Lucasfilm.

It's been a long day but, around 12 hours after our intrepid Polar bears occupied Cairn Energy's HQ, the last of them has now been removed by police. Around 20 people have been arrested in all, and most of them remain in custody here in Edinburgh.

We assembled at about 8am this morning near to Cairn Energy's offices in Edinburgh. It was a strange gaggle of people in suits and an army of polar bears. Such a gathering was going to attract attention so we couldn't hang about - we crossed Festival Square which was starting to get busy with people heading for work and straight through the doors of Cairn's office building.

A little over two weeks ago, we launched our VW campaign with our spoof video of the company’s Darth Vader advert.

Jedi, we need your help. There has been a disturbance in the Force.

Our communication channel has been hit. But the Rebellion goes on.

Last night – at approximately 1830 – our communications equipment took a direct hit. After providing nearly 2 million transmissions of our latest Rebellion underground message “VW: The Dark Side”, our YouTube films and channel were taken down. And now moments ago, Vimeo took them down.

Our rebel engineers are working shifts round the clock in the coldest depths of cyberspace to try and locate the source of the attack.

We've just passed 100k Jedi in the Rebellion. Help us visualise it and get some Force points!

Wow. Just over 48 hours in and we've passed the 100,000 mark for the rebellion. With well over a million views to our VW films (in all languages) this is getting bigger by the minute.

There's only one problem: what does 100,000 Jedis look like?
