Greenpeace TV: the Arctic Rising will be televised!

Last week we tried something new. We had teams out across the country shutting down Shell petrol stations to protetst their plans to drill for oil in the Arctic this summer. But that wasn't the new part, we've done that before. We wanted to find a way to bring the experience of the activists to everyone who supported the campaign but couldn't be out on the streets themselves. So we decided to run a live, 12-hour broadcast of the action, with the footage being played out as it came in, or with a short delay.

Is your energy bill as big as this?

This morning 50 Greenpeace volunteers shut down the head office of British Gas owners Centrica using the world's biggest energy bill.

We're there to tell Centrica to end its dangerous addiction to expensive and polluting fossil fuels. It is time to get off the gas price rollercoaster and start investing in clean, renewable energy and energy efficiency to bring bills under control and tackle climate change.

Take action now to tell Centrica to end the energy rip-off!

Protest during Volkswagen's AGM

For almost a year now, you’ve been asking VW to turn away from the dark side and reduce its fleet’s CO2 emissions. Today we took that message to the company’s AGM in Hamburg with a giant banner reading "Take responsibility seriously! Honest climate protection now" (in German, obviously).
