As the world's top climate scientists gather in France to finalise their landmark climate report due out on Friday, we've taken our message to Paris to urge the world's governments to act.

'Fishmongers' lay out dead fish, crabs, sponges and coral at entrances to Asda, Morrisons and Tesco

Today, (Tuesday 5th December) Greenpeace volunteers have displayed hundreds of dead fish, crabs, sponges and coral - outside the entrance to a Birmingham Asda superstore, the fishmongers will also visit a Birmingham Morrisons and Tesco, later today (1). The action is part of a "trawler trash tour", visiting the same supermarkets across the UK (2).

World's largest weapons inspection as Blair pushes for new N-Bomb

Hundreds of people from across Britain are this morning marching on the Atomic Weapons Establishment at Aldermaston in Berkshire. They are converging in large groups from all directions - by bus, train, bicycle and on foot - determined to carry out the world's largest ever inspection of a nuclear weapons factory. A big police presence of several hundred officers is protecting the site.

UPDATE: Twenty-five climate campaigners were arrested at 5.30pm today after ending their two day occupation of one of Britain's dirtiest power stations. One of the volunteers Ben Stewart said, "Since being here we have halved Co2 emissions from this power station by stopping coal entering the facility. We've forced Tony Blair to answer direct questions from us about his climate trashing policies and shown that there is a cleaner, more efficient way of generating energy."

The Mayor of London Ken Livingstone was joined by Greenpeace Director, Stephen Tindale, at his weekly press conference, to announce that he is tightening up procurement procedures at the Greater London Authority, to ensure that timber used on Greater London Authority sites has come from responsibly managed forests.

Greenpeace activists block NATO's Brussels HQ with a full-size replica of a US B61 nuclear bomb

Twenty four Greenpeace activists from the UK. Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Turkey were arrested this morning after staging a protest at NATO's Brussels headquarters. Their demand: removal of the 480 US-owned and controlled nuclear weapons from Europe. The action occurred as NATO Defence Ministers prepared for a high-level meeting on the future of NATO.
