As the world's top climate scientists gather in France to finalise their landmark climate report due out on Friday, we've taken our message to Paris to urge the world's governments to act.

Car manufacturers are trying to sabotage a new European climate law that would force them to improve the efficiency of their new vehicles. But there's time to act to make sure that Europe's cars are cleaner and greener in future.

No sooner has Iceland granted permits for some of it's fisherman to resume commercial whaling than they discover, big surprise, what informed opinion has been telling them all along - namely that they would struggle to find any market for the meat.

Decentralised energy. It can double the efficiency of our power stations. It's helped Woking Council cut its carbon emissions by 77 per cent. It already provides over 50 per cent of Denmark's electricity supplies.

So Steve Jobs, Apple guru and all-round groovy guy, has made his keynote speech at MacWorld. But there was something missing - no word on what Apple should be doing to sort out the toxics in its iPods, not to mention their shoddy recycling policy. So we've done a little bit of re-editing so we can all hear what Steve should have said.
