HISTORICAL NOTE
These papers were compiled by Arnold E. Kahnert, Historian and Senior Vice Commander of the Veterans Association, 3rd United States Infantry (The Old Guard). Kahnert was born January 7, 1906. His enlistment was from June 21, 1926 to June 20, 1929 in Company B of the 3rd Infantry at Fort Snelling. He retired April 30, 1959.
