What are HA Fillers?
Juvederm is a hyaluronic-acid filler suspended in a gel. Restylane is also known as Restylane. This gel allows the hyaluronic acids to stay in place when injected. The hyaluronic Acid immediately draws in water to increase the volume of the area where it is injected. This is great for moderate to deeper wrinkles and folds of the face or areas where more volume is desired like cheeks or lips. These fillers are dissolved naturally with most lasting up to a year and some even longer.
Aesthetic medicine is a broad term for specialties that focus on altering cosmetic appearance through the treatment of conditions including scars, skin laxity, wrinkles, moles, liver spots, excess fat, cellulite, unwanted hair, skin discoloration, and spider veins. [1] Traditionally, it includes dermatology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, reconstructive surgery and plastic surgery,[2] surgical procedures (liposuction, facelifts, breast implants, Radio frequency ablation), non-surgical procedures (radio frequency skin tightening, non- surgical liposuction, chemical peel, high-intensity focused electromagnetic field, radio frequency fat removal), and a combination of both.[3] Aesthetic medicine procedures are usually elective.[4]
Kansas City (abbreviated KC or KCMO) is the largest city in Missouri by population and area. What are Neurotoxins?
Botox and Dysport, injectable neurotoxins, can temporarily reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Repetitive muscle contractions can cause wrinkles and facial lines to develop and become deeper over time. Botox, Dysport and Dysport temporarily relax these muscle contractions. The skin will appear smoother.
Common treatment areas are the forehead, frown lines and Crows feet. The results can be seen in a few days, but they will improve over the next two weeks. When dosed appropriately results may last up to four months.
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra uses poly-L lactic acids to slowly restore facial volume. When injected it stimulates your own skin's natural ability to produce collagen slowly over time. Over several months, the poly-L-lactic acid is biodegraded and replaced with a meshwork of new collagen. Treatment areas may include, temples, cheeks, nasolabial folds, and jawline. Most initially will require three treatments over a couple of months and then just one treatment annually. These results can last longer than two years.
What is Kybella exactly?
Kybella is an injection that can permanently destroy fat cells. Depending upon the amount of fat present, up to five vials (or more) of Kybella might be required during one treatment session. Sometimes multiple sessions are necessary. The most common area of treatment is the submental fat otherwise known as a 'double chin'. Once the desired aesthetic goal has been achieved, treatment can be stopped.

What is Dermaplane?
Dermaplaning uses a surgical-grade blade that is medical-grade to remove the skin's surface layer of dead cells, debris, and hair. A single session of dermaplaning is capable of removing approximately 2-3 weeks' worth of skin cells and debris. Dermplane does not require any pain and is non-invasive. The procedure may seem similar to shaving but is much more efficient as the blade used can get right to the top layer. You don't have to worry about your hair getting darker. Dermaplaning targets the peach fuzz (vellus hair) which grows back in the same size and color. It doesn't give the illusion that the hair is thicker because of the way it is cut. There is no downtime with this treatment.

A chemical peel refers to a treatment that uses a chemical solution to exfoliate the top layers of skin. Chemical peels can improve skin texture and radiance as well as reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. They also help decongest and treat acne-prone skin. Chemical peels come in superficial, medium, and deep strengths. The results of a chemical peel will vary depending on the concerns you have and what type of treatment you choose. Great customer service, very knowledgeable staff, good products and incredible prices. I was paying almost $100 more for a single chemical peel/hydrafacial at other medical spas and still wasn't getting the results I got from visiting Mia Bella.
