What are HA fillers, exactly?
Juvederm or Restylane are hyaluronic fillers that are suspended in gel carriers. This gel helps the hyaluronic acid stay in place where injected. The hyaluronic acid works immediately by pulling in water, therefore, increasing the volume where injected. This works well for deeper to more severe wrinkles, folds, and areas of the face where more volume is needed. These fillers dissolve naturally with most lasting at least a year. Others may last longer.
