The Wyeth - Tootle Manor at 11th & Charles sts is a historic home. William M. Wyeth constructed it in 1879. The Gothic design was created by Eckel and Mann Architects. They gathered ideas from their European travels and built the mansion in 1883. The Tootles occupied the house until 1887 when it sold.
The mansion includes three floors and one tower. There are more than 40 rooms inside the house. Beautiful woodwork, hand-painted ceilings and imported stained windows are all part of the interior. It is possible to see what it was like living in the 19th century. Near downtown St. Joseph, Missouri is the Wyeth-Tootle Mansion.
