The Wyeth - Tootle Manor, at 11th and Charles sts., is a historical mansion. William M. Wyeth constructed it in 1879. The Gothic design was created by Eckel and Mann Architects. The family's European travels inspired them to create the mansion, which they completed in 1883. The Tootles lived there until 1887 when it was sold.
The mansion consists of three floors and a tower. There are more than 40 rooms inside the house. Beautiful woodwork and imported stained glasses are some of the interior's highlights. He was also the president and founder of the St. Joseph Hardware Company.
