Operations auditing

Cloud Snapshot Manager creates audit logs of user-initiated actions.

In the Cloud Snapshot Manager portal, you can select a filter that limits the view of these logs to the type of audited operations you want:

• All
• Protection Plans
• Policies
• On-demand jobs
• Expiration Change
• Cloud Accounts
• Users
• Entitlements
• Accounts
• File Level Recovery
• Encryption Keys
• Non-CSM Snapshot Expiry

In addition to filtering on the type of audit you want, you can specify the time frame for the audit logs you want to see. Using this filter, you can view audit logs that are up to one year old.

You can open any audit log item to view the details of what happened in that operation and the identity of the administrator who initiated it. The details also show changes in a Cloud Snapshot Manager entity (such as a Protection Plan) by comparing its initial configuration with the configuration that occurred in the operation.
