Add Storage Units

After adding a PowerProtect DD Virtual Edition (DDVE) storage appliance, you can add configuration details for Storage Units in Cloud Snapshot Manager.

Prerequisites

Storage Units must be created on DDVE before they are configured in Cloud Snapshot Manager. Cloud Snapshot Manager does not validate Storage Unit configuration when adding Storage Units to the Infrastructure configuration.

About this task

Storage Unit is like a volume or partition on a DDVE. Configure Storage Units on DDVE so that Cloud Snapshot Manager can store and manage snapshot copies on DDVE. In Cloud Snapshot Manager, you only add the Storage Unit configuration details to access the Storage Units from Cloud Snapshot Manager.

Steps

  1. Go to Infrastructure > Storage.
  2. In the Storage page, click Options icon next to the DDVE storage appliance for which you want to add Storage Units and select Storage Units.
  3. In the Storage Units page, click New Storage Unit and enter required details.
  4. Click Save.
    You can add any number of Storage Units.
