Job run status

On the Jobs page of the Cloud Snapshot Manager portal, you can see the run status of Cloud Snapshot Manager jobs.

After a job has run, it can take on any of the following statuses:

  • Completed - Indicates that the job is successful.
  • Failed - Indicates that the job failed and the reason for the failure is provided.
  • Partially completed- Indicates that the job is partially successful and the reason for partial completion is provided. For example, when you try to take a VSS snapshot of a Windows instance which is not VSS enabled, a crash consistent snapshot of the volume is taken instead of a VSS snapshot and the job is partially successful.

You can click View details. in the Details column for the job to inspect the detailed data for that job.

The portal lets you filter jobs by job type. You can filter based on the following job types:

  • All Jobs - Lists all jobs. The jobs irrespective of the job type are displayed in descending order with the most recent job on top.
  • Plan Runs - Triggered when snapshot jobs have run as part of Protection Plans. The Total column in the Plan Run search result indicates the number of resources that the plan protects.
  • On-demand Snapshot Jobs - Triggered when you choose to take an immediate snapshot of one or many resources.
  • Restore Jobs - Triggered when you restore a snapshot.
  • Expiry Jobs - Triggered when a snapshot expires as defined in the expiration period of a policy. The expiry job is triggered every 30 minutes.
  • File Level Recovery Create - Triggered when attaching and mounting a volume as part of the file level recovery process.
  • File Level Recovery Delete - Triggered when detaching a volume as part of the file level recovery process.
  • Non-CSM Snapshot Expiry - Triggered when you delete a batch of snapshots that are not taken by Cloud Snapshot Manager.
  • Copy - Triggered when you copy snapshots to PowerProtect DD Virtual Edition (DDVE).
