Update Azure credential details

The following steps have been provided as an example to help you to update Azure credential details:

Steps

  1. Log in to your Azure Account through the Azure portal and select Azure Active Directory.
  2. In the left navigation pane of the portal, select Properties.
    Make a note of the Directory ID. The ID is later entered in the Active Directory ID field where you create an Azure cloud account in Cloud Snapshot Manager.
  3. Select Azure Active Directory > App registrations > New registration to add an application.
  4. Under Register an application, complete the following:
    1. Enter the name of the application.
    2. Under Supported account types, select the required option.
    3. (Optional) Enter the Redirect URI as https://console.dell.com for the Cloud Snapshot Manager application.
    4. Click Register to register the application.
      After registering the application, the Azure portal displays the Application ID and the Directory ID. Make a note of the Application ID and the Directory ID. The Application ID is later entered in the Application ID field and the Directory ID in the Active Directory ID field when you create an Azure cloud account in Cloud Snapshot Manager.
  5. Under Manage, select Certificates & secrets and click New client secret to create a new client secret key for use by Cloud Snapshot Manager.
  6. Specify the client secret key description and expiration time, and then click Add.
    Make a note of the client secret key value as it is used as the authentication key while updating the Cloud Snapshot Manager account.
  7. To access the resources in the subscription, assign the custom role that you created to the application by using the following steps:
    1. In the Azure portal, search for Subscriptions in All services and select the option.
      Make a note of the Subscription ID.
    2. Select the subscription, and then select Access Control(IAM).
    3. Click Add > Add role assignment, and select the role that you created.
    4. Select Azure AD user, group, or application from the Assign access to list.
    5. Select the application, and then click Save.
