SCOPE AND CONTENTS
The AAZPA files mainly deal with the development and operation of ISIS, including development of initial models, its relationship with the U.S. Office of Endangered Species, grant funding requests, public relations, and federal wildlife regulations. There are also files dealing with AAZPA's charter and bylaws, long range and strategic planning committees, and relationship with the CBSG.
The Minnesota Zoological Society files cover fund raising activities, its grants to the zoo, its relationship with the zoo (1966-1980), and termination of that relationship (1981). Included are the Society's articles and bylaws, board of director's minutes (1969-1973, 1979-1982), and financial reports (1979-1982).
The files of the Minnesota Zoological Garden Foundation mainly deal with its fund raising and financial backing of the zoo. There are also agenda packets (1983-1986), minutes (1975-1982), and merger documents (1978-1982).
Included in the conservation groups files are substantial units on the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians, Humane Society of the U.S., International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), [Golden] Lion Tamarin Studbook, the AAZPA's Wildlife Conservation Committee, and the World Wildlife Fund.
