Table 1. Cloud Snapshot Manager Integration with DDVE Workflow
Step Description
Step 1 Under the Infrastructure tab in the Cloud Snapshot Manager portal, go to the Cloud Accounts page, click CSM Proxy against your cloud account and enter required configuration details. For each of your cloud account regions where snapshots reside, you can provide CSM Proxy configuration, that is, CSM Proxy configuration per region. For more information, see Configure CSM Proxy Network.
Step 2 Under the Infrastructure tab, go to the Storage page, click New Data Domain to add the DDVE appliance and related configuration. For more information, see Add PowerProtect DD Virtual Edition (DDVE) storage appliance.
NOTE: DDVE must be deployed outside Cloud Snapshot Manager in your cloud provider environment. You can only add DDVE configuration details in Cloud Snapshot Manager.
Step 3 After adding the DDVE appliance, add Storage Units. For more information, see Add storage units.
NOTE: Storage Units must be created on DDVE before they are configured in Cloud Snapshot Manager. Cloud Snapshot Manager does not validate Storage Unit configuration when adding Storage Units to the Infrastructure configuration.
Step 4 Configure a backup policy for snapshots to be copied to DDVE. For more information, see Configure a snapshot policy.
Step 5 Create a protection plan, select the DDVE appliance, and Storage Units for the regions that you want to copy to. For more information, see Create a protection plan.
