HISTORICAL NOTE
Paideia Academy was a charter school that opened in 2005 in Apple Valley, originally serving students in grades K-4 and expanding to serving grades K-8 by the time it closed in June 2016. From the 2005-2006 annual report: "'Paideia' connotes a theory of student-centered learning and the conscious pursuit of each child's intellectual, artistic, and social education." Subjects that were emphasized included: grammar, logic, rhetoric, Latin, art, and music.
